These are the best if you don’t want to be sweating in the kitchen when you have invited people over. With some preparation in advance this is very easy to put together and will be a show stealer. You can just double or triple the recipe depending on how many sliders you want to make.
Party Lamb Sliders recipe:
Makes: 5 Sliders.
You will need:
Step 1: Marinate
In a food processor throw all the ingredients needed for the patties except the meat. Pulse few times till the veggies are finely chopped. Add this mixture to the meat and and mix well. Let it rest in the fridge for at least an hour. You can prepare this the previous day, divide the mixture in 5, form the patties and then refrigerate.
Step 2: Yogurt Sauce
Just mix all the ingredients and leave it in the refrigerator till ready to use.
Step 3: Caramelized Onions
Place a skillet on medium-low flame and add olive oil, thinly sliced onions and salt. Stirring occasionally cook till the onions are tender and turn golden brown. When the onions are close to being done add thinly cut rounds of jalapeno. This process can take anywhere from 20-25 mins.
Step 4: Patties
While the onions are cooking place another skillet on medium flame. Add some olive oil and place the patties making sure not to crowd the pan. Cook the patties on both sides till they are caramelized and done. This can take 10-15mins.
Step 5: Assemble
Toast the buns and spread yogurt sauce on the bottom half. Place the lamb patties topped with caramelized onions topped with greens and then the bun. Enjoy!
Meat - You can replace the ground lamb with ground chicken or goat. If you like try it with other ground meats as well.
Sauce - Chopped mint can also be added in the Yogurt sauce.
Spice - 2 teaspoons of paprika and 1 whole jalapeno felt just perfect and not spicy at all. You can adjust the spice level as you like.
Greens - You can use any kind of sprouts or greens you like.
