Carlsbad Flower Fields are a great spring weekend getaway in Southern California. If you are visiting California this is something definitely worth adding to your itinerary along with other attractions in the area. Walk around the hills through this colorful display or take a wagon trip, and when you are done here dig your feet in the sand at the beach.

Rows and rows of colorful Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers bloom across 50 acres of land, between the months of March and May. Photo spots are laid out between rows of flowers for visitors to get perfect shots surrounded by flowers.

Ranunculus are not the only attraction at the fields. There are rose gardens, orchids greenhouse, sweet pea maze to name a few.
